A Product-Service System that temporarily turns vacant buildings into affordable spaces for start-ups and creatives.
Watch the concept video on YouTube ↗ARCHE connects property owners, start-ups and local communities to reduce the negative impact of vacancy. By making vacant properties temporarily available to start-ups and creatives, the service helps owners avoid vacancy charges, gives entrepreneurs access to affordable space and revitalises neighbourhoods.
Besides the service itself, we developed a recognisable visual identity that positions ARCHE as a bridge between all involved parties.
Avoid vacancy charges and hand over the management of their building.
Get access to affordable workspace, without the burden of high rent.
Vote on which start-ups fit their neighbourhood, and receive workshops and events in return.
We mapped the context and the user journey, and spoke with stakeholders such as Endeavour, the real estate group of Federale Verzekeringen and Kunstenpunt to ground the service in reality.

The full journey of a building: from the first handover in a metaphor box, through open house events and the neighbourhood vote, to start-ups settling in, giving workshops and eventually moving on.
We designed a platform for both property owners and neighbours. Owners upload their building; residents discover the start-ups, vote on who moves in and follow the activity agenda of their street.

The arch in the logo stands for the bridge ARCHE builds between owners, start-ups and residents. The identity carries through the platform, posters, flags, the metaphor box and the open house signage.
